If you purchase DSF format rips or someone gives them to you JRivers is going to convert them to a PCM format and you will not be benefiting form the extra expensive of purchasing the download or trouble ripping the file for you due to your DAC only handling PCM format. You will not end up with DSF or DFF files, which come from the SACD DSD layer being ripped The only layer you will rip on a dual layer disc is the Redbook and if it is not dual layered and only SACD then you won't be able to rip the disc. The reason I asked, was if you aren't Ripping the SACD correctly all you will get are the PCM (Redbook) files ripped to the format of your choice that are offered for PCM files. ![]() What set up are you going to use to Rip the SACDs? The reason I ask is because you need a certain model of Oppo that the original firm was not updated on along with a Sony PlayStation or something like that, not sure haven't done it.
